YES!!
The workshop was really worth it:
In amsterdamm I made a mold of the "HIRO" LM2005 DBR9 under the tutorial of Tamar and with the assistance of Gabriel and "All Positions" and only
now have I found the courage to actually Laminate a body on my own.
Guess what??
IT WORKED!!!
Thanks guys, a whole now world has been opened to me.....
a whole new level....

Hi Udo,
where in Germany are you?
The bodies are ModelfactoryHiro from japan.... the best i terms of quality.
I tend to think that the Renaissance, although not geometrically perfect,
captures the spirit of the car a bit better.
The bare body weighs over 90gramms so you will need a good Dremel.
M.Graber sells a slot kit based on the Renaissance which is quite hot....

As many guys ask me about the Aston green, and not everybody has acces to Dupont automotive paint....Can you post an URL of this shop?

Check out the Cars & Model database there are
2 Aston models that don't need any Dremeling.
Slotfactory Has been there for a
while and Micheal Graber has just released his Scale Speed DBR9, Lexan interior, dashboard, resin driver and rollcage, PE parts and injection moulded inserts...the works.
Both kits are based on the renaissance DBR9 , although only the Scale Speed with permission.

great work! Which body do you take for the cars? Is there a model available for that I do not need a dremel, or they all Renaissance?

Hi Guys
a small update, the car -Aston Martin BMS DBR9 #69 is finished and has survived it's first race with a few minor/marjor but repairable bruises.... I
smashed the spoiler in the first race (made 2 place) but was able to fix it and the other things that were damaged.
Here is a Tutorial on how to make a cheap Spoiler!!

You're turning into a DBR9 speciallist, the BMS looks even better than the previous LM car.
Its about time you start making your own silicon mould/gfk bodies.
It takes about the same time as dremelling 50 gr out of a resin body 
...but its a lot less messy
and you get to keep the resin body as well

I must say, this kit is really beautifully done the body detail is
outstanding and I was really extited as I unpacked my first (of two) kit.
I have already built a Renaissance with which i was /am really happy with.
Although the Ren kit is hand made it builds into a fantastic model given
the right amount of attention. I built mine into a slot car
- see the thread:

The Ren. Kit at a Race ...
and the results as you will all agree, were fantastic.
The Ren kit has so much detail and was also
a bit easier to work with due to the fact the al parts are Resin.
The MFH kit has many white metal parts which are way too heavy
for slotcar racing and thus need to be scratched built or sourced.
As with all resin kits, the mfh was a heavy lump. 84 gramms!! I had
to get the weight down to max. 30g to be able to build a competitive racecar.
So out came the dremel and a few hours later the body was alsmost
50g lighter.

I opened up all the holes, and made side silla and the front spoiler
out of 0.3mm Carbon sheet.
Contrary to normal building procedures, I do not prime before painting.
Lazy? impatient? I dont think so as experience has shown that if the
body is CLEAN and smooth the paint goes on well and stays on.
My cars race and crash and never has my paint chipped or cracked.....
well just once out of about 50 model cars...
So I wet sanded the body with a sanding sponge and soapy water, dried
the body and was off to the painting booth......
I sprayed (airbrushed) "Zeros" Aston Martin Green from Hiro Boy in the
UK (Great stuff, Fantastic store) onto the body.
After 3 or 4 coats I was happy with the result and went on to apply
a few clear coats (Mr Hobby 501 gloss clear) out of the spray can.
I have just started air brushing, this is my second airbrushed body.
Spray cans are fine but are way more expensive, the spray goes all
over the place 30% stays on the car, and the stink is mad!
Deacaling was a pretty easy job except for the fact that the MFH
decals take forever to seperate from the backing and need a lot
more water during application. The glue on the decals is so strong
that once the decalis fixed it will not budge at all.
I made the mistake of not using enough water and ruined a decal,
which only a few minutes after application i had to sand off .

But the end results are pretty ok. Also, it went all pretty quickly too.
