There's no place like "Home"
Round Round 3 of the LMS was the opening race for Kamp Linfort's brand
new Carrera six laner.
After 8 months of hard work, Special Frank's team baptised their track
with champagne.
Never at ease on woodden tracks, the team was happy to be back on familiar
Carrera turf.
With their first victory in the 2001 Series, they proved once more that
there's no place like home
Runner
up
Champ leader B-24 bounced back after a disastrous qualification. The
old Panoz had been leading the race until it shed its Pignon in the
closing stages of the night.
An 18 lap pistop effectively meant they could no longer catch the runaway
Porsche.
Surprise podium ?
Late arrival on the sunday morning, a car buildt the night before.
With barely 15 minutes of practice, the team said they would have been
satisfied with a top six finish.
But as the flag dropped they were a comfortable 3rd.
A surprise podium?.... not really, the (E)x-rookies team has some off
the most experienced modelcar racers in Germany
