Dome's sports car history goes back much further than most people realize. At the 1978 Le Mans Dome fielded a racing version of the Dome Zero road car, the Zero RL.

In 1999 Dome was involved in the major redesign of Team Goh's BMW V12 LM.
Having presumably wetted their whistle with the BMW V12 LM, Dome decided to get back to sports car racing full time with the introduction of the new, from the ground up, S101 LMP.
So far Dome's reintroduction to sports car racing has been relatively successful winning in the FIA SCC series and performing very well in qualifying two years running at Le Mans.

Dome S101 data:
Length: 4640 mm, Width: 1995 mm, Height: 1085 mm, Wheelbase: 2840 mm.

Sakatsu #2403 Resin Curbside kit. Limited edition of 100pcs
The Dome kit has an extremely well cast one piece resin body and base plate with moulded cockpit floor detail, beautifully turned aluminium wheels. PE and White metal detail parts. Vac formed clear parts (lampcovers and windshield).

Large feed tags need to be removed from the resin parts, though there are no pinholes that we could see. The roll-over bar, airbox and the air inlets between the front wings and central tub are white metal castings and will need blending in before painting.

Decals are clearly printed with all of the red parts of the bodywork included though one or two very small sponsors logos are missing.

The instructions include 'in build' photos to show placement of the smaller parts and will help with what should be an enjoyable build. The finished article will be very impressive despite the minor details omitted.

Slotrace mods
Being a limited edition of only 100pcs, please dont convert this model in to a slotcar. Better order one of the GFK copies by Slot & Modelcars.
Anyhow the full resin body is so heavy that you must be prepared to spend hours milling away the excess material.
Also you need to modify the rear deck if you want to run Sidewinder spur gear and/or Ikarachi type Motors
