here's the planning for the LMS 2006 final:

Technical control will be done in a new format for this race. To gain time and accuracy during TC, scrutinizing of the cars will be done during free
practice at the above mentioned times.
Before and after a team goes through Technical Control practice for the race-cars is open from 08:00am to 12:00am. At 12:00 all race-cars have to go
to the parc fermé. Then motor and wheels hand-out will start.
To keep things in an orderly fashion we will split the 12 teams randomly into 2 groups of 6. The first group will receive their racing-gear at 12:15
and will have 15 minutes to build them in. After these 15 minutes the cars will go back to the parc fermé. At 12:35 the second group will go through
the same procedure.
During this period the track will be open for practice except for the race cars! Power will be taken off the track at 13:00.
Race cars are the cars that will be used in the race and have been through technical control!
