Season opener not in Germany but 2 weeks later in Belgium.
LMS 2002 season will start 2 weeks later than originally planned and in a different country. The Opening race has been moved 14 days to the weekend of 09-10 March.
If all goes well the LMS will kick off at a new track in Belgium.

Doubble dates

This move will clear the doubble date in the international Modelcar calendar and leave 23-24 feb free for the traditional weekend in which Dieter Jens has organized his 124 Classic Le Mans Rennen at the Scuderia Wittenstein.
Cold factor

The Kamp Linfort race in Germany has been moved to a Oct 18-19 date. Changes were that a March date would cause chilly conditions in the open paddock.

2 Options for Belgium Race
For the first round in Belgium the LMS O.C. is loking at 2 options. Tracks that could be considered suitable for a LMS race are
Speedlines and Merlijn
Both are wooden tracks and have good in house paddock facilities. The LMS O.C has already recieved a provisional go from the Speedlines organisation and will visit both locations in mid Januari.
More details about the race will be posted as soon as they become available.
