Old Hero's never die...in the "Classic" Le Mans Challenge

Those who love classic (slot) cars can have a field day at Scuderia
Wittgenstein in Siegen (D). From 22th till 24th of February their 6-lane
track will be the battlefield of the 7th Le Mans Challenge. With
Slot(scale)racers from all over Germany taking part, no less than 83 different
cars will be on the grid!

on the 5 lane 49m track of the Hamburg Renn center. Special feature in

New Le Mans Series in Southern Germany

On Sunday 26 a new race series started in the Munich area, the Bavarian
Le Mans Series.
The BMLS is an independent organistion using several club tracks in
Southern Germany.
2 more races are scheduled until May, but extra events are in the pipeline.

Quick Pits stop saves Belgium round, LMS returns to St Niklaas!!

On Jan 25 the LMS was suddenly faced with the unavailability of the
Speedlines track. (See
"Track owner forbids")
All off a sudden the Belgium round needed some serious attention.
But in times off need you see who your true friends are. On Jan 26 a
friend called us in to the Pits for some quick repairs. In no time the
LMS was back on track with a new location for the March 09-10 race.

Trackowner forbids Speedlines to host LMS race.

On Jan 10th the LMS O.C made an firm agreement with both Speedlines
and Mr. van Rossem (who owns the Speedlines track) to host the 1st round
of the 2002 Le Mans Series.
Unfortunately a row on Jan 23rd over personal posts between Mr. van
Rossem and a individual on the Dutch forum led to an unparalleled abuse
of power in which Mr. van Rossem now specifically forbids the Speedlines
club to use the 8-lane IMCA track for the LMS race.

Speedlines Belgium to host 1st round of 2002 LMS.

After a succesful try-out of the Diepenbeek 8 laner the LMS O.C has
come to an agreement with the Speedlines club to host the 1st round
of the 2002 Le Mans Series. The final date of the Opening race is now
set for the weekend of 09-10 March.
More details on the provisional program will be posted this week, for
starters here are some first impressions off the track.

First Draft LMS 2002 Technical rules.
