Old
Hero's never die...in the "Classic" Le Mans Challenge
Those who love classic Le Mans (slot) cars can have a field day
at Scuderia Wittgenstein in Siegen (D).
From 22th till 24th of February their 6-lane track will be the battlefield
of the 7th Le Mans Challenge.
Initiated by Dieter Jens, the Challenge has grown in to one of the
biggest slotrace events for Classic cars in the Rurhr area. With
Slot(scale)racers from all over Germany taking part, no less than
83 different cars will be on the grid!

You don't have to pick a big V8 to have

Yes people there are other Porsche Prototypes
besides a 962 or a 917. Those with a "classic" education
would have spotted this 910 immidiatly. |
"Full house in Siegen"
Bad news however for all those interested to take part
on short notice: the entry lists closed on 31th of December 2001.
But for the classic car lover a visit to the event is more than
rewarding. Besides having slotcars with some off the highest modelling
standard, the Challenge is contested on one off Germanies most
beautifully detailed tracks.
The nicest thing about it is that you keep discovering more and
more small scenes around the track. As an example see the right

A German Race report will be most likely published on the Slot-Scaleracing
forum
With the grids as they are it is most likely that there will be
a Le Mans Challenge in February 2003 !
So if you want to race in the Challenge be sure to make those
entries real early.
