I believe you are right.
I think the rule means that you can use inserts from any make, but that they must have the same 'lay-out' of the spokes. That's how I understand
the rule.
I don't know anyone selling these inserts though 
It took me 6 original inserts before I got 1 perfect trued down, which I now cherish before I'll start copying them a few times. If needed maybe I
could make some more for the Worlds.

The IMCA rules state : " (ba) Inserts - Wheel inserts can be cut from part C4 but may be replaced by handcraft inserts of the same type. "
So to me this means 20mm resin BBS wheel inserts can be used which are commercially available. This would make sense.
Can anybody clarify this ? Thanks.

Hello:
Use a wooden liston a brush old and limes to the extent of internal hub of the rim (3 mm).
Glue the liston to the rim with cyano and you put him in the Dremel.
With a cutter (As if it were a lathe) as you gradually lowering without heat in his only 2 mm external.
When you have 20 mm in diameter, cut with the cutter the rest of the rim and the hub stuck with wood.
For the next rim need another liston wood, and start all over.

I would agree with being able to use properly sized inserts.
I just broke another, I was being reallllllyyyyy careful too.
So who do we make the suggestion to about another insert option?
Who makes such a thing?

They are almost impossible to turn down, even with a lathe ,
as you wrote, the walls get really thin and the wheel inserts
are easily damaged....I feel that the option to use other inserts
should be provided.

Does anyone have a method for turning down the wheels that come in the fujimi kit?
They get pretty thin and I broke one whilst turning it.
I don't have a lathe, just put a drill blank in the molded hub and using a drill clamped in my vise.
Is it an option to use another pre made wheel insert that is designed for the wheel type we're using?
