come to mention it, we've just today sceduled the 5th and 6th race, being held on
Sunday the 13th of April

Well Mark, in fact most of the organising members from the club have been busy in several ways, but we'll certainly continue the class on a regular basis.

You must have misunderstood somewhere, because this is an individual class, designed and aiming purely at the driving skills and developing them. The newer/slower guys have a chance to see exactly what the faster guys are doing driving the same cars. Remember that nobody is even allowed to touch their braids, the cars are really equal.
It's really exciting to see what happens when you take the team and car factor out, and see who's in front. Especially positions 3-10 are always breathtaking exciting to watch.

New racers but also experienced people really evolve and grow into the championship, using the last race' experience and gain a few positions.

Another treat is that from the beginning interest in the class was so big, that we've had entries from other countries as well, leasing whichever car is 'empty' cause it's driver is not present. New is that this season we are exploring the possiblities to go to different tracks, as a 'pre-race' maybe for the big events and also at local clubs.
Together with the handicap weight rule we are introducing for the podium runners, 2008 should be a very exciting and close racing!

Will try to make a nice report on it at the next race.

Hello Nick,

How is it going with the M1 Procar Series? The cars and circuit are truly impressive . . . and I understand that the team format was to be a Pro+Am (or newbies) combination of drivers. Did this work out . . . and how successful was it in bringing new racers to the track? It would be a good news item to update (w photos) on the homepage from time to time for those of us around the world. Regards to Emily.
