The Viper GTE car was raced with a rules waiver, albeit an unusual one, it ran with a slightly smaller engine than the production car stroked down to just eight litres.
The Viper still has one of the largest engines in the GTE class though, the V10 is now restricted to produce around 480-490bhp. with twin 29.1mm restrictors mounted at the leading edge of the bonnet.
